September 1, 2009: Notice is hereby given that Eric C. Weller of Virginia Beach has applied to the Marine Resources Commission to license and locate two pound nets in Chesapeake Bay in Accomack County. The first net is to be located in Chesapeake Bay at 37 Degrees 42.437 Minutes N. Latitude and 75 Degrees 52.185 Minutes W. Longitude, and approximately 3500 feet west of Parker Island. The net will be 1200 feet in length. The second net is to be located in Chesapeake Bay at 37 Degrees 42.919 Minutes N. Latitude and 75 Degrees 51.487 Minutes W. Longitude; approximately 5900 feet west of Thickett Point. The net will be 1200 feet in length.
March 20, 2009: Notice is hereby given that Andrew Self of Reedville, Virginia has applied to the Marine Resources Commission to license and locate two pound nets in the Chesapeake Bay offshore of Taylors Beach. The first net is to be located 500 yards south of Taylors Beach Road and 400 yards from the shore line and at Latitude 37 Degrees 51 Minutes 10 Seconds N and Longitude 76 Degrees 14 Minutes 33 Seconds W. The second net is to be located 1100 yards south of Taylors Beach Road and 1000 yards from the shore line and at Latitude 37 Degrees 51 Minutes 02 Seconds N and Longitude 76 Degrees 14 Minutes 13 Seconds W.
February 24, 2009: Notice is hereby given that Charles Gregory of Virginia Beach, Virginia has applied to the Marine Resources Commission to license and locate a pound net in southern Chesapeake Bay approximately 4,300 feet East of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, and about 500 yards from the shoreline. The offshore end of the net will be located at Latitude 36 Degrees 55 Minutes 19.1 Seconds N and Longitude 076 Degrees 06 Minutes 48.9 Seconds W. The net is to be 1,200 feet in length.
February 24, 2009: Notice is hereby given that Dirk Sanford of Virginia Beach, Virginia has applied to the Marine Resources Commission to license and locate two pound nets in southern Chesapeake Bay. The first net is to be located about 4,300 feet East of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. The offshore end of the net will be located at Latitude 36 Degrees 55 Minutes 35 Seconds N and Longitude 076 Degrees 06 Minutes 42 Seconds W. The net is to be 1,200 feet in length.
The second net is to be located about 9,300 feet East of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. The offshore end of this net will be located at Latitude 36 Degrees 55 Minutes 05 Seconds N and Longitude 76 Degrees 05 Minutes 47 Seconds W. This net is to be 1,200 feet in length.
February 19, 2009: Notice is hereby given that William H. Haynie of Reedville, Virginia has applied to the Marine Resources Commission to license and locate a pound net in the Chesapeake Bay near Hughlett Point, 2800 yards north of the flashing red buoy #4 at the mouth of Dividing Creek, 50 feet from shore. The net is to be 600 feet in length and is specifically to be located at 37 Degrees 44 Minutes 30 Seconds North Latitude and 76 Degrees 18 Minutes 10 Seconds West Longitude.
